How does Book Club 2 Go work?

After your book club has selected one our Book Club 2 Go titles, one of the members checks out the kit and distributes the books to the group.  After the group has read the book, they can meet and discuss the book using the provided discussion questions. 

What is included in a Book Club 2 Go kit?

The Book Club 2 Go includes 12 copies of a book (with two large print copies when possible), discussion questions for the group to consider when talking about the book, as well as a log sheet so that the person in charge of the kit can record which participant has each specific copy of the book. Please note: The Poisonwood Bible kit contains 10 books, The Other Boleyn Girl kit contains 11 books.

How long may I keep the Book Club 2 Go kit?

Each kit may be checked out for eight weeks. 

What is the overdue charge if I don’t return my Book Club 2 Go kit on time?

An overdue fine of $1.00 per day will be charged if the kit is returned late.

What if I want a title that is not available?

It is a good idea to decide on alternate title choices in case your first choice is taken. If your group prefers to wait for a specific title that is checked out, a hold request may also be placed. If your group is interested in a title that is not currently available as a Book Club 2 Go kit, you may submit that title as a suggestion for the program. (Submit a Book Club Wish List request at the Info Desk.) The library will make a decision and notify you if the title will be added. All suggestions must be made at least three weeks before the title is needed.
